Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator Job Description
We are seeking skilled Heavy Equipment Operators for various civil site projects in the Charleston area. The ideal candidates will have the ability to operate Dozers, Excavators, Back Hoe, and Motor Graders efficiently. Experience in fine grading and pipe laying is a significant advantage. Familiarity with GPS technology, specifically Trimble, TopCon, or Rover, is beneficial. Operators will be required to assist with manual labor tasks when necessary, including shoveling, trench work, and dirt work.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as Dozers, Excavators, Back Hoe, and Motor Graders on civil site projects.
Perform fine grading and pipe laying, focusing primarily on storm drainage and storm drain installation.
Utilize GPS technology (Trimble, TopCon, Rover) for equipment operation.
Assist with manual labor tasks, including shoveling, trench work, and dirt work as required.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience operating heavy equipment including Dozers, Excavators, Back Hoe, and Graders.
Proficiency in fine grading techniques.
Experience with GPS technology for equipment operation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in storm drainage and storm drain installation.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience in civil site, excavation, and underground utility construction.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $28.00/hr.
