Low Voltage Technician

Job Description
TEKsystems is hiring Low Voltage Technicians to support structured cabling projects in healthcare and educational facilities throughout the Greater Knoxville area. We are looking for dependable, team‑oriented technicians who take pride in high‑quality work and maintain professionalism while working in active environments.
In this role, technicians will be responsible for installing and terminating CAT6 cabling, building cable pathways, and supporting low‑voltage infrastructure projects. This position requires local travel between job sites. PPE will be provided as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Install, pull, and terminate CAT6 structured cabling
Perform punch‑downs, rack and stack, and cable labeling
Build and install cable pathways (J‑hooks, cable tray, conduit where applicable)
Install and support wireless access points
Troubleshoot low‑voltage cabling issues as needed
Maintain safety and cleanliness in active healthcare and school environments
Work collaboratively with project leads and other technicians

Qualifications
Must have or be willing to obtain OSHA 10

Willing to travel within the Greater Knoxville area
Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
Ability to work in active environments (healthcare and education)

This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.
