Electrical Planner - Refinery Turnaround
The Electrical Planner supports safe and efficient execution of an oil refinery turnaround by planning, coordinating, and preparing all electrical work activities. This role develops detailed job plans, work scope packages, labor and material estimates, and outage sequencing to ensure work is completed on schedule and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed electrical work plans for turnaround activities, including installations, repairs, inspections, and testing
Prepare job scopes, work instructions, drawings, BOMs, and material take‑offs
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, contractors, and schedulers
Ensure all work complies with site procedures, codes, and safety requirements (LOTO, NFPA, refinery standards)
Support schedule development, field execution, and post‑job reviews
Qualifications & Work Conditions:
Experience planning electrical work in refinery or heavy industrial turnarounds
Strong knowledge of electrical systems (power distribution, MCCs, motors, grounding, and interfaces with instrumentation)
Familiarity with CMMS systems and turnaround planning processes
Strong organizational and communication skills
Must be willing to travel to Laurel, Montana (near Billings) on per diem, with paid trips home every 6 weeks

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00/hr.
