Customer Service Specialist (Part-Time Lending Support)
Location: Apple Valley, MN (On-Site)
Schedule: Part-Time
Duration: 2-3 Month Contract
About the Opportunity
We're looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Customer Service Specialist to support our Consumer Lending team on a temporary, part-time basis. This role will help manage a backlog of loan servicing and administrative tasks while a team member is on leave and a new employee is being trained.
This is a great opportunity for someone interested in financial services, banking, or lending who wants to gain valuable experience and make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities
Manage a backlog of consumer lending administrative tasks
Respond to member inquiries through the online message center
Prepare and send payoff letters
Sort, scan, and process incoming mail
Issue vehicle storage letters
Process installment loan deferrals
Provide professional and timely customer service to members
Support the Consumer Lending team with additional administrative responsibilities as needed
QualificationsRequired
Strong customer service and communication skills
Professional email and written communication abilities
High attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable handling member inquiries and resolving issues professionally
Preferred
Experience with consumer lending products, including:
Auto loans
Personal loans
Lines of credit
Credit cards
Previous banking, credit union, or financial services experience
Familiarity with loan servicing processes
Customer-facing experience in retail, hospitality, call center, or food service environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
