We are seeking a Permit Coordinator to join our team in Sacramento, CA . This position offers an opportunity to play a crucial role in our organization's success by managing complex permitting processes and maintaining vital stakeholder relationships. Our Permit Coordinator combines meticulous attention to detail with outstanding communication abilities and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

The Role
Expertly manage the full lifecycle of permit applications, from submission through approval, while ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
Build and maintain strategic relationships with municipal authorities, contractors, and internal stakeholders
Drive project success through effective coordination of permit timelines, fee processing, and documentation management
Conduct comprehensive map and plan reviews to ensure alignment with permit specifications
Oversee permit-related financial operations, including budget tracking and deposit management
Lead pre-construction coordination and PG&E power supply submission processes
Provide strategic onsite support for permit requirement assessments
Maintain detailed tracking and reporting systems for all permit activities
Deliver timely project updates and maintain clear communication channels with all stakeholders
May require occasional site visits
Prolonged periods of sitting at a workstation (6+ hours daily)
Extended use of computer equipment, including desktop or laptop computer, mouse, and keyboard
Regular use of telephone and/or headset
Capability to navigate construction sites during occasional field visits (walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs)
May require occasional flexibility for urgent permit matters or deadline-driven projects
All other duties as assigned
Requirements
2+ years of experience in permit coordination or similar role
Experience in construction or utilities permitting preferred
Experience with P2 software systems a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical mindset with exceptional problem-solving abilities
Impeccable attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Demonstrated track record of meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
Must provide a valid government-issued photo ID for verification; a driver's license is required if the role involves driving; Class A CDL Required
