? What Youâll Do
- Manage the full lifecycle of telecom permits (submission? approval? tracking)
- Coordinate with municipalities, DOTs, utilities, and pole owners
- Prepare and submit permit packages and supporting documentation
- Conduct jurisdiction research to identify processes and points of contact
- Proactively follow up on pending permits (calls/emails) to avoid delays
- Maintain detailed permit logs, trackers, and status updates
- Communicate regularly with project managers and internal teams
- Support high-volume project environments with accuracy and urgency
? What Weâre Looking For
- 2+ years of telecom/fiber permitting experience (OSP preferred)
- Strong understanding of right-of-way and utility permitting processes
- Comfortable following up persistently with agencies to move permits forward
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
- Proficient with:
- Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)

- Experience with multi-state permitting (MI, IN, TX, etc.)
- Exposure to Comcast or MSO-related projects
- Familiarity with joint-use / pole attachment processes
- Basic CAD knowledge

About the Role
We are looking for a
CAD Technician to support telecom and fiber projects by producing
permit-ready drawings and route maps. This role is focused on
high-volume production drafting, not full design engineering.
Youâll work closely with permitting teams to deliver accurate drawings that help secure fast approvals.
What Youâll Do
- Create CAD drawings for telecom/fiber routes for permitting submissions
- Translate field notes, redlines, and route data into clean, accurate plans
- Update and revise drawings based on feedback and permit requirements
- Ensure compliance with municipal and utility standards
- Partner with permitting teams to ensure complete documentation packages
- Maintain organized file structures and version control
- Meet deadlines in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
What Weâre Looking For
- 2+ years of CAD drafting experience (AutoCAD required)
- Experience in telecom, fiber, or utility infrastructure projects
- Ability to produce high-volume, detail-oriented work
- Solid understanding of:
- Route mapping
- Construction drawings or permitting plans
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Nice to Have
- Experience creating permit drawings for telecom projects
- Exposure to OSP (Outside Plant) fiber design or mapping
