Plan and schedule the daily and weekly maintenance activities for the production filling and packaging lines in accordance with the organization's policies, lean practices, and applicable laws. Coordinate parts, labor, and tool resources for the completion of preventative, predictive, and repair maintenance activities for various machine centers along aerosol and liquid production lines. Ensure quality of maintenance support and repairs improves production line performance and decreases production line downtime. Assist in the training of proper maintenance repair procedures and ensure all work is performed in a safe manner and is consistent with regulatory guidelines.

Duties:
Must understand, demonstrate, and always promote safe work practices to ensure a safe work environment.
Maintain high levels of quality to ensure proper parts are supplied and SOPs are followed.
Create and maintain a positive environment for all employees free of intimidation and harassment.
Responsible for planning maintenance repair activities.
Responsible for assisting with training for mechanical repair processes and new part installations.
Comply with all company policies and procedures.
Utilize the plant Computerized Maintenance Management System to improve equipment reliability and production line uptime.
Responsible for ordering and maintaining equipment spares and replacement parts.
Improve production line efficiency of assigned area by planning & scheduling preventive and predictive mechanical repairs in accordance with a proven maintenance support system.
Lead all maintenance down day planning meetings.
Maintain all equipment machine centers within budget restrictions.
Establish, document, and/or adjust work procedures to ensure equipment machine centers are being maintained properly.
Recommend and help implement improvements to plant safety, production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
Ensure Training of line personnel on the proper mechanical adjustments to production line equipment.
Contribute to the accomplishment of Key Performance Indicators including safety, quality, production, and cost improvement.
Effectively communicate with the Engineering & Manufacturing Departments to ensure best practices are utilized.
Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to ensure coordination of activities of each department.
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds over your head
Climbing into and under equipment
Frequently climbing stairs, ladders, and using cross-overs
Maintain records as required by policy, practice, and procedures.

Position Requirements:
Technical Trade School or an Associate's degree preferred and 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Technical experience in mechanical troubleshooting and equipment repair is essential.
Previous maintenance coordination and planning experience is highly recommended.
Experience and/or training in Lean manufacturing is strongly preferred.
Working knowledge, understanding, and capability to repair mechanical machine centers with respect to the following disciplines is essential:
Mechanical drives, gearboxes, clutches, couplings, and torque limiters
Diaphragm pumps/centrifugal pumps and associated piping
Pneumatic valves/controls and their operation
Photo eyes, limit switches, proximity switches
Small motor installation
Conveyor chain and belt installation and repair
Equipment trouble shooting
Small metal fabrication and machining (lathe & mill work) is preferred
Small welding capability is preferred
Ability to comprehend and follow the SOPs and work instructions.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to aid in the writing of SOPs, work instructions, standard work, etc.
Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
Ability to use a Computerized Maintenance Management System is essential
Ability to communicate effectively before groups of engineers, technicians, and production employees.
30% normal office environment and 70% manufacturing environment. Overtime may be required during the week as well as on weekends.
