Job Title: Low Voltage Technician / Cable Technicians I-II (Starting @ $22/Hr)
Job Description
As a Low Voltage Technician, you will develop the necessary skills to operate as an effective member of a technical team. This role typically requires one year of experience in the structured cabling industry. Your main duties will involve installing work area outlets, routing and organizing cables, building closets, and performing termination and fire-stopping procedures.
Responsibilities
Install work area outlets for floor, modular furniture, and walls.
Drop cables down walls using fish tape or other methods.
Route cables through modular furniture.
Perform pre-termination procedures: organize, form, dress cables, and determine length, slack, and label cables.
Suspend and support cable using appropriate methods such as cable trays, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, and trapeze.
Build closets by mounting and installing backboards, cross-connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optics, and hardware.
Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cables as required.
Conduct fire-stopping procedures on fire walls and install sleeves.
Pull cable through sleeves and core penetration.
Terminate low-voltage devices.
Follow technical prints accurately.
Complete all paperwork accurately and timely, including timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, and tool transfers.
Essential Skills
Experience in construction, cabling, and cable termination testing.
OSHA 10 certification.
Ability to work with Cat 5, Cat 6, and Fiber Optic cables.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Zero to one year of experience in electrical work.
Mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn.
Basic knowledge of the construction industry is preferred.

Work Environment
The work site will initially be in Ashburn, VA, transitioning to Manassas after approximately four weeks. A flexible schedule is required, including Monday through Friday from 5 AM to 3:30 PM, with occasional Saturday work. Be prepared to work in different project locations and adhere to site-specific requirements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
