Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor
Job Description
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees mechanical and electrical maintenance activities in a new steel manufacturing facility, with a strong focus on hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and equipment installation. This role sets up and maintains production equipment, leads preventive maintenance efforts, and supports the successful launch and ongoing operation of a brand-new extrusion and steel manufacturing site.
Responsibilities
Oversee and perform hydraulic maintenance on production and support equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic systems, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
Perform stick welding on structural steel and pipe, ensuring high-quality, structurally sound welds.
Carry out pipefitting tasks, including layout, cutting, fitting, and installation of piping systems.
Execute structural steel welding and fabrication work in both shop and field environments.
Use basic electrical knowledge to perform tasks such as checking fuses, verifying voltages, and assisting with electrical troubleshooting.
Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and technical manuals to install, repair, and maintain machinery and structural components.
Lead the setup and build-out of a new steel manufacturing facility, including the installation and alignment of new machinery and equipment.
Plan and perform preventive maintenance activities to extend equipment life and reduce unplanned downtime.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
Supervise and guide maintenance activities on 2nd shift, ensuring work quality, safety, and adherence to schedules.
Coordinate maintenance tasks in an active construction environment, working effectively with other trades and contractors.
Work at heights up to approximately 40 feet when required, following all safety procedures and using appropriate fall protection.
Document maintenance work performed and communicate equipment status and issues to relevant stakeholders.
Essential Skills
Proven experience performing stick welding on structural steel and pipe.
Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in troubleshooting and repair.
Practical experience with hydraulic systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
Practical experience with pneumatic systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Experience with preventive maintenance practices and scheduling.
Basic electrical knowledge, including working safely with fuses and performing voltage checks.
Experience installing and setting up new machinery in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Comfort working at heights up to approximately 40 feet, following safety procedures.
Previous extrusion or related manufacturing experience.
Experience in maintenance management and supervision on a production shift.
Ability to work safely and efficiently in an active construction environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical and system issues.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience performing field welding and fabrication work outside of a traditional shop environment.
Work experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial maintenance.
Comfort coordinating with contractors and other trades during facility build-out.
Ability to organize maintenance tasks and prioritize work on a 2nd shift schedule.
Strong communication skills to provide clear direction and updates to team members and stakeholders.

Work Environment
This role is based in a new steel manufacturing facility that is currently being built and commissioned, offering the opportunity to work with newly installed machinery and modern equipment. You will work primarily on 2nd shift in an active construction and industrial environment that involves heavy equipment, structural steel, and extrusion processes. The position requires regular hands-on work with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems, as well as welding and pipefitting tasks. Work at heights of up to approximately 40 feet may be required, with appropriate safety gear and fall protection. The environment is fast-paced, production-focused, and safety-conscious, with close coordination among maintenance, operations, and construction teams.

This is a Permanent position based out of Halls, TN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
Medical insurance coveraBe will become effective on the first day of the month following thirty {30) days of continuous employment, subject to plan eligibility and enrollment requirements. Paid Holidays - Employees are eligible to receive eight (8) paid company holidays annually, in accordance with the Company holiday schedule and applicable policies. Sick leave - Employees will receive five {5) sick days per calendar year, administered in accordance with Company policy and applicable state and federal law. Vacation I Paid Time Off {PTO} o Employees are eligible for two (2) weeks of paid vacation/PTo annually during their first and second years of continuous employment. o Employees will become eligible for three (3) weeks of paid vacation/PTO annually beginning after completion of three (3) years of continuous employment. PTO Accrual and Usage - Vacation/PTo accrual will begin immediately upon hire; however, accrued PTO and Sick Leave may not be used until the successful completion of ninety (90) days of emnloyment, unless otherwise approved by management.
