About the Role
NVIDIA is seeking Level 2 Data Center Technicians (L2) to support production operations and large‑scale infrastructure expansion within a high‑performance data center environment.
This is a hands‑on technical role focused on true break/fix troubleshooting (L2) while also supporting deployment, rack & stack, and cabling work (L1 responsibilities).
This is not a remote hands role-you'll be expected to independently diagnose and resolve server and hardware issues while contributing to ongoing buildouts of cutting‑edge AI infrastructure.
What You'll Be Doing
Perform true L2 break/fix troubleshooting on servers (beyond simple part replacement)
Diagnose, isolate, and resolve hardware and system issues independently
Install, configure, and deploy servers and network equipment
Perform rack & stack and support data center buildouts
Run and manage structured cabling (Cat6 and fiber) including routing and rework
Update firmware and BIOS on production systems
Configure IP addresses, credentials, and system settings
Partner closely with network teams to support:
Cable routing and re‑patching
Optics replacement
Port changes and connectivity issues
Support both live production environments and ongoing infrastructure scaling
Required Qualifications
2+ years of data center technician experience
Strong hands‑on experience with:
Data center operations
Rack & stack
Structured cabling (Cat5/Cat6/fiber)
Hardware installation and maintenance
Proven ability to troubleshoot server issues independently (L2 level)
Experience diagnosing and resolving root cause issues (break/fix)
Comfortable working in high‑availability production environments
Strong collaboration and communication skills
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Experience troubleshooting Linux-based systems
Ability to differentiate between logical vs physical failures
Exposure to liquid‑cooled data center environments
Fiber optic experience (splicing, testing, or installation)
Data center construction or infrastructure build experience
Work Environment
Large‑scale, high‑performance data center
Combination of operations + deployment work
Fast‑paced environment with high expectations for quality and uptime
Work on your feet for extended periods, with occasional lifting and physical work
Schedule
4x10 schedule (10-hour shifts):
Sunday-Wednesday OR Wednesday-Saturday
Day shifts (start times may vary)
Includes one weekend day

This is a true L2 role, not guided troubleshooting or remote hands
Candidates must be comfortable with both:
Advanced troubleshooting (L2)
Installation and deployment work (L1 tasks)

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
