Job Title: Entry‑Level Cable Technician (Low Voltage)
Job Description
We are seeking motivated, hard‑working individuals for an entry‑level low‑voltage cable technician role supporting data center build‑outs in Social Circle, GA. This position involves working both inside and outside active data center environments and offers strong opportunities for learning, growth, and advancement.
Key Responsibilities
Install and layout wireway, bus duct, cable tray, switches, receptacles, and related devices
Build telecom closets, including mounting and installing backboards, cross‑connects, racks, patch panels, fiber optic hardware, and equipment
Perform Cat6 terminations and complete all IDC connections (including 110/66 blocks and patch panels)
Assist with fiber optic installation and demonstrate basic fiber knowledge
Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required
Pull cable and/or assist with conduit installation and wire pulling
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documentation
Operate hand and power tools requiring two‑handed use (cable cutters, hammer drills, compression tools, jackhammers, etc.)
Support project timelines by maintaining quality and productivity standards
Required Skills & Qualifications
Network equipment exposure or willingness to learn
Cat6 termination experience or basic understanding
Introductory fiber optic knowledge
Familiarity with universal communications color codes
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and project documentation
Proficiency with common low‑voltage tools
Strong work ethic and reliability
Ability to work in a construction environment
Schedule & Shift Information
Primary schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Occasional weekend overtime required based on project needs
Night shift opportunities may be offered depending on site and schedule requirements

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loganville, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
