Responsibilities:

• Install Cat6 network cabling and pre-terminated fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode) in data center environments
• Perform fiber splicing, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure high-performance connectivity
• Work with both LC and MPO fiber connectors
• Dress and organize cables using proper wire management techniques, including cable trays and ladder racks
• Rack and stack network switches, servers, and other data center hardware
• Accurately label all cables and components to maintain clean documentation and organization
• Read and interpret data center layouts, network diagrams, and technical blueprints
• Ensure all work meets industry standards for quality, reliability, and safety

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience working in data center environments
• Proven experience with Cat6 and fiber optic cabling installation
• Demonstrated fiber splicing experience is required
• Experience testing fiber using light meters and OTDRs is preferred
• Familiarity with LC and MPO connectors
• Working knowledge of telecom and data network infrastructure
• BICSI, Lift, and OSHA certifications are a plus
• Must have basic hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hi-vis vest, steel-toe boots)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Willingness to travel to job sites within Texas as needed
