Position Overview

Pay: $25-$28/hour + OT

Insight Global is hiring on behalf of one of the largest low-voltage and data center infrastructure companies in North America. We are seeking experienced Low-Voltage Technician II candidates who can work with minimal supervision and contribute immediately to a large-scale data center deployment.

The ideal candidate understands not only how to perform cabling work but also why installation standards, pathways, testing, and documentation are critical to project success.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities Install, terminate, test, and label copper and fiber cabling Interpret blueprints, cable schedules, and pathway drawings Install and maintain cable pathways Perform cable testing and quality assurance checks Verify labeling accuracy and installation standards Troubleshoot basic cabling issues Support project productivity and installation timelines Assist less experienced technicians when needed Work effectively in a fast-paced data center construction environment Support DAS-related work when applicable

Skills and Requirements

Must-Haves Previous low-voltage, telecommunications, structured cabling, or data center experience Experience with cable installation, termination, and testing Ability to read blueprints and installation drawings Understanding of cable pathways and industry standards Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities Reliable transportation Ability to pass background and drug screening Steel-toe boots Ability to work independently with limited supervision Plusses Data center build experience DAS experience Fiber experience BICSI certification Lift certifications Experience mentoring junior technicians Experience on large-scale hyperscale or mission-critical projects
