Job Description

Current Team Need: The current maintenance team is strong from an electrical troubleshooting perspective. The biggest need for this role is a technician with strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting experience, particularly supporting older production equipment and hydraulic press systems.

This individual will serve as a key resource for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining approximately 40 production presses and other aging manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience troubleshooting hydraulic cylinders, pumps, valves, manifolds, pressure systems, bearings, gearboxes, motors, drive systems, and other mechanical components in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

• 7+ years of industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience
• Strong hands-on experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic systems and mechanical equipment
• Experience supporting production equipment such as: o Hydraulic presses o Conveyors o Automated manufacturing equipment o Pneumatic systems
• Ability to read hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings
• Experience performing root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures
• Strong understanding of bearings, gearboxes, motors, pumps, cylinders, valves, and power transmission systems
• Experience working independently during off-shift operations

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and reactive maintenance on production equipment to maximize uptime.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems, with a strong focus on hydraulic presses and aging equipment.
• Quickly diagnose production line issues and restore equipment to operation.
• Inspect equipment, identify potential failures, and recommend corrective actions.
• Complete maintenance documentation and track repairs in the CMMS system.
• Support equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Follow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and coordinate repairs with vendors when needed.
• Communicate equipment status, risks, and repair timelines with production and leadership teams.
