Description We are looking for a Healthcare Call Center Representative to support a busy healthcare environment in Phoenix, Arizona. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who stays composed in a fast-paced setting, communicates with empathy, and can direct high volumes of incoming calls with accuracy and discretion. In this role, you will help shape a positive patient experience by responding promptly, identifying urgent needs, and ensuring callers reach the right department or resource.
Responsibilities:
Manage a high volume of incoming calls each shift while maintaining a detail-oriented, courteous, and efficient approach.
Evaluate each caller's needs quickly and connect them to the appropriate department, team, or service without unnecessary delay.
Respond to emergency codes, alarms, and other life-safety events by following established communication protocols.
Deliver urgent overhead or system-wide announcements clearly and accurately when required.
Use switchboard technology, telecommunications equipment, and related digital applications effectively to support daily operations.
Protect sensitive information by handling all caller interactions with a strong commitment to confidentiality and privacy standards.
Support effective communication with diverse patient populations by adapting tone, language, and approach to meet individual needs.
Remain calm during difficult or high-pressure interactions and escalate issues appropriately when immediate attention is needed. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in a customer service or call-handling environment.
Ability to manage a multi-line switchboard or similar high-volume inbound phone system.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to listen carefully and respond with empathy and professionalism.
Comfortable handling frequent inbound calls in a fast-paced call center setting.
Ability to make sound decisions quickly when routing calls or responding to urgent situations.
Strong verbal communication skills and attention to detail when sharing information or announcements.
Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Familiarity with maintaining confidentiality while handling patient-related or sensitive information is preferred. TalentMatch®
