Cedar Creek is a 1,100 MW simple-cycle gas turbine power project built under a lump-sum EPC contract. As Mechanical Construction Manager you represent the owner for all mechanical and piping installation, from major equipment through to the balance of plant.
What you get to do:
- Oversee installation of major mechanical equipment, from delivery through to setting.
- Oversee piping fabrication, installation and support systems plant-wide.
- Review rigging plans and crane placement, and attend critical lifts.
- Track equipment setting, alignment and grouting against vendor tolerances.
- Oversee tank installation and testing, fuel gas skids and water treatment.
- Review test packages and monitor pressure testing, with QA owning examination coverage.
- Monitor preservation, storage and material traceability through to installation.
- Review work packages, attend walkdowns and drive punch list closure.
What you bring to the role:
- 12+ years in mechanical and piping construction on power or process plants, 5 supervising.
- 5+ years representing an owner over an EPC contractor under a lump-sum contract.
- Working knowledge of ASME Section VIII, B31.1 and B31.3.
- Hands-on experience with large rotating equipment and heavy lifts.
- Experience with large-bore and high-pressure piping systems.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or equivalent field experience.
Nice to have:
- OSHA 30 — provided by the project after mobilization if you do not hold it.
