About Broadstaff
Broadstaff is a specialized workforce solutions firm serving the telecommunications, digital infrastructure, data center, engineering, utility, construction, and related technical markets nationwide.
We provide direct hire, contract staffing, contract-to-hire, project staffing, and workforce solutions for companies supporting critical infrastructure initiatives across the country.
About the Role
Broadstaff is seeking an experienced Technical Recruiter to identify, engage, screen, and deliver qualified talent for our clients across telecom, data center, engineering, construction, IT, and related technical markets.
This is a hands-on agency recruiting role. Our recruiters are responsible for building their own candidate pipelines, conducting meaningful screens, understanding client requirements, and partnering closely with sales and account teams throughout the hiring process.
The right person is proactive, resourceful, comfortable sourcing passive talent, and able to quickly learn new accounts, skill sets, and markets.
This is not a role focused primarily on reviewing inbound applicants. Success requires actively finding talent, building relationships, and consistently delivering qualified candidates.
What Youâll Do
- Source and recruit candidates for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct-hire opportunities.
- Build candidate pipelines through LinkedIn, job boards, Bullhorn, referrals, outbound outreach, networking, and other sourcing channels.
- Conduct detailed candidate screens to evaluate technical experience, job fit, compensation expectations, availability, and overall alignment.
- Develop a strong understanding of client accounts, recurring positions, technical skill sets, and market conditions.
- Partner closely with sales and account teams during job qualification and recruiting strategy discussions.
- Present qualified candidates clearly and accurately to internal sales and account partners.
- Maintain consistent candidate communication throughout the interview, offer, and onboarding process.
- Build long-term relationships with candidates and maintain pipelines for future opportunities.
- Conduct proactive sourcing for recurring and anticipated hiring needs.
- Maintain accurate candidate, submission, and activity information within Bullhorn.
- Manage multiple priorities and open requirements while maintaining urgency, responsiveness, and quality.
- Collaborate with other recruiters, sales, onboarding, and operations teams to support successful placements and client delivery.
What Weâre Looking For
- 2 to 5+ years of agency staffing or recruiting experience.
- Proven experience independently sourcing candidates rather than relying primarily on inbound applicants.
- Experience recruiting for contract, contract-to-hire, direct-hire, or related staffing models.
- Strong candidate screening, sourcing, outreach, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to learn technical positions, client requirements, and new skill sets quickly.
- Experience partnering directly with salespeople, account managers, or client-facing staffing professionals.
- Strong organization, follow-up, urgency, and ownership.
- Ability to manage multiple searches and priorities in a fast-moving staffing environment.
- Comfortable working independently in a fully remote environment with limited day-to-day supervision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in remaining a hands-on individual contributor focused on recruiting and delivery.
Preferred Experience
- Recruiting experience within telecom, wireless, fiber, broadband, OSP/ISP, data center, engineering, construction, utilities, or related infrastructure markets.
- Experience recruiting technical, engineering, field, construction, or skilled-trade talent.
- Experience supporting national or multi-state staffing programs.
- Experience with Bullhorn or a similar applicant tracking system.
- Experience sourcing through LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, job boards, resume databases, and direct outreach.
- Experience working in an agency environment with strong recruiter and sales partnership.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role will be measured by the ability to consistently identify and engage qualified candidates, deliver strong submissions, support successful placements, and build reliable talent pipelines for Broadstaffâs clients.
The right person does not wait for candidates to apply. They know how to search, engage, screen, follow up, and keep moving until the right talent is identified.
They develop a strong understanding of the accounts and skill sets they support, work closely with sales and delivery partners, and take ownership of their searches from initial sourcing through placement.
