Broadstaff is seeking experienced
Aerial Permitting Specialists to support one of the nation's leading telecommunications providers on large-scale fiber network expansion projects.
This is a fully remote opportunity supporting aerial permitting, utility coordination, make-ready activities, and joint-use application management across multiple markets nationwide. We're looking for professionals who can hit the ground running and have hands-on experience working with pole owners, utility review processes, and fiber construction programs.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and submit aerial joint-use permit applications.
- Manage permit packages from submission through approval and construction release.
- Coordinate with utility companies, pole owners, engineering vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Review pole attachment documentation and verify package completeness.
- Assist with make-ready engineering coordination and utility feedback.
- Track permit status, approvals, timelines, and project milestones.
- Maintain accurate records within project management and tracking systems.
- Review engineering deliverables for compliance with applicable standards and requirements.
- Support construction and engineering teams throughout the permitting lifecycle.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular status updates.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of aerial permitting, utility coordination, joint-use, or telecom project experience.
- Experience with pole attachment and utility permitting processes.
- Knowledge of NESC requirements and aerial clearance standards.
- Understanding of make-ready engineering concepts.
- Experience working with telecommunications or fiber optic network projects.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with one or more of the following systems:
- Alden One
- NJUNS
- SPANS
- JUMS
- APS
- Other utility-specific permitting platforms
Additional experience with:
- Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployments
- OSP Engineering
- Utility Joint-Use Programs
- Pole Loading Analysis
- Make-Ready Coordination
- Telecommunications Construction Projects
