Description

This client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Prewire / Cable Technician to join our growing team. This role is responsible for installing low-voltage cabling infrastructure for security systems, including intrusion alarms, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, smart home technology, and network systems in residential and small commercial environments. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality installations, and wants to grow their career within the security and life safety industry. Cabling & Prewire Installation Pull, route, secure, and label low-voltage cabling including: Cat5e/Cat6 Fiber optic (preferred) Coax Alarm wiring Access control wiring Install J-hooks, cable supports, and pathways according to industry standards Assist with rough-in and trim-out phases of construction projects Security System Infrastructure Prewire for: Burglar alarm systems CCTV camera systems Access control systems Intercom systems Smart home and automation devices Install basic security components under supervision Quality & Documentation Follow blueprints, floor plans, and installation drawings Perform cable testing and verification Maintain organized work areas and vehicles Document completed work accurately Safety & Compliance Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures Maintain professionalism while interacting with customers and other trades Ensure installations meet quality and code requirements

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
