Facilities & Tooling Manager - Advanced Manufacturing

POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a hands-on Facilities & Tooling Manager to support a specialized manufacturing operation. This position is responsible for maintaining facility equipment, production tooling, and related infrastructure to ensure equipment reliability and production readiness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversee and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on specialized manufacturing equipment, including pressure/thermal processing equipment, industrial ovens, compressors, presses, and related facility systems .

• Perform routine equipment inspections, identify potential issues, troubleshoot problems, and coordinate necessary repairs.

• Support the installation and commissioning of new manufacturing and facility equipment.

• Coordinate outside contractors and specialized service providers for electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other facility-related work.

• Maintain accurate maintenance records and tooling work orders.

• Manage tooling inventory and tracking, including identifying and locating missing production tools.

• Prepare new and stored tooling for production use.

• Inspect production tooling for wear, damage, and defects and coordinate or perform necessary repairs and resurfacing.

• Replace worn or damaged tooling components and hardware.

• Partner with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for improved tooling reliability and future tool designs.

• Monitor tooling performance and escalate unusual or recurring wear patterns.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow applicable OSHA, workplace safety, and export-compliance requirements .

• Perform additional duties as needed to support facility and production operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of maintenance, facilities, or manufacturing equipment experience.

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and maintaining industrial equipment.

• Working knowledge of drilling, tapping, threaded inserts, thread repair, and similar mechanical repair techniques .

• Experience coordinating outside contractors and equipment repairs.

• Toolmaking, machining, metalworking, or production-tooling experience is a plus.

• Experience supporting composites, aerospace, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.

• Ability to maintain accurate maintenance and tooling documentation.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance and facility needs.

Pay Details: $28.00 to $30.00 per hour
