Job Description
As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of material handling equipment, including conveyors. Your expertise will be pivotal in installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining this equipment. You will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance routines, documenting procedures, and managing work orders within a CMMS. Additionally, you will troubleshoot equipment problems, manage inventory, and ensure electrical systems are in good working order.
Responsibilities
Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment.
Conduct preventative maintenance routines and complete related documentation and procedures.
Perform battery changes and maintenance on batteries.
Enter downtime data in daily logs and complete preventive maintenance sheets.
Manage work orders using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Troubleshoot and identify problems with equipment.
Track and manage departmental inventory, including spare parts.
Apply basic electrical knowledge to work with components and systems.
Essential Skills
At least 2+ years of experience in predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment or automated conveyor systems and controls.
2+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
2+ years of knowledge in electrical and electronic principles.
2+ years of experience following and demonstrating safety standards.
1+ year of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of MHE systems.
1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in Distribution, Logistics, Manufacturing, or Industrial industries.
Experience with conveyors and material handling equipment, including controls and robotics.
Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions of building operations.
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Continuous improvement mindset.
Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Experience with MHE safety standards in accordance with OEM and safety standards.
Associates or higher degree from a vocational school or college focusing on Mechanical or Electrical fields.
2+ years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field.
2+ years of experience working with PLC-based control systems.
Experience with robotic operation and maintenance.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vandalia, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.50 - $32.50/hr.
