Job Description
We are seeking a Level 1 Cable Technician to support data center and structured cabling projects. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with some commercial cabling experience or a low-voltage trade school experience who are looking to build a long-term career in the rapidly growing data center industry.

What You'll Do
Pull and route low-voltage cabling throughout commercial and data center environments
Install cable support systems including J-hooks, cable trays, cable racks, and innerduct
Organize, dress, label, and prepare cabling for termination
Perform punch-downs and terminate low-voltage devices
Build and install racks, patch panels, cross-connects, and telecommunications closets
Install grounding systems for racks, equipment, and cabling
Perform fire-stopping procedures and install sleeves as required
Test newly installed cabling according to project specifications
Troubleshoot and support existing cable infrastructure as needed
Complete project documentation accurately and on time
Follow all safety and quality standards on site
What You Bring
At least 3 months of commercial cabling experience or completion of a low-voltage trade school program
Basic understanding of cable installation practices
Experience with cable pulling and punch-downs
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Ability to work Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Ability to work in active construction and data center environments
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Desire to learn, develop new skills, and grow within the industry
Nice to Have
Experience working on structured cabling projects
Experience installing CAT5/CAT6 cabling
Data center experience
Experience with cable testing and troubleshooting
Fiber optic cabling experience
Experience building IDF/MDF closets

Schedule
Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Occasional travel may be required after project completion
Long-term opportunities available for technicians willing to support additional project locations
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
