Job Title : HVAC Tech
Employment Type: Full Time, 40 hours per week
Shift: Day Shift,
Location: St. Francis Hospital.
Position Purpose
Demonstrates technical knowledge of primary maintenance specialty (electric, HVAC, plumbing, or carpentry).
Responds promptly to work requests, floor calls and equipment repairs, as required.
Performs diversified tasks as required, in areas other than trade specialty. Maintains a high quality of work completeness, neatness, and accuracy.
Completes work assignment in required time frame.
Completes work assignment as required with minimum supervision. Demonstrates necessary knowledge of the facility and equipment location in order to respond properly when on-call duty.
Prevents accidents and reports unsafe physical plant conditions that may pose risk to employees, visitors, and patient welfare.
Able to interpret blue prints.
Inspect/maintains pieces of mechanical and HVAC equipment throughout facility including but not limited to air handlers, air conditioners, condensing units, refrigeration equipment, fans, packaged units, etc.
Performs maintenance, repairs, and installation on pieces of mechanical and HVAC equipment throughout facility including but not limited to air handlers, air conditioners, condensing units, refrigeration equipment, fans, packaged units, etc.
Maintain and repair refrigeration equipment including but not limited to fan motors, thermostats, gauges, cutouts, valves, filters, belts, etc.
