Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Fiber Technician II / Fiber Splicer to support fiber optic infrastructure projects across client environments. This individual will be responsible for the installation, splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of fiber optic networks while operating with moderate independence. The role will support project delivery, mentor junior technicians, and partner with internal teams and vendors to ensure successful execution. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with fiber optic cabling, fusion splicing, fiber testing, and network infrastructure deployments in fast-paced field environments.

Skills and Requirements
*2-3+ years of experience in fiber optic, telecom, network infrastructure,
*Hands-on experience with fiber optic cable installation, routing, termination, and fusion splicing
*Experience performing fiber testing and troubleshooting using tools such as OTDRs, light source/power meters, VFLs, and fiber certification equipment
*Strong understanding of fiber optic network standards, cable management, pathway installation, and industry best practices
Ability to read and interpret splice diagrams, fiber schematics, test results, and technical documentation Associate's degree or equivalent technical/military experience
*Experience with single-mode and multimode fiber, MPO/MTP connectivity, and fiber distribution systems
*Familiarity with both inside plant (ISP) and outside plant (OSP) fiber environments
*Experience with structured cabling installations, including copper and fiber infrastructure
*OSHA, CFOT, BICSI, FOA, NFPA 70E, or other relevant safety/industry certifications
