Broadstaff is seeking an experienced
Construction Manager to oversee underground fiber optic construction projects in the Dayton, Ohio market. Responsibilities
- Manage daily field operations for underground fiber construction projects.
- Coordinate and oversee multiple subcontractor crews.
- Monitor production, quality, safety, and schedule adherence.
- Conduct routine field visits and jobsite inspections.
- Ensure compliance with engineering drawings, permits, customer requirements, and local regulations.
- Track and report daily production metrics, including footage installed, handholes, tie-ins, and project milestones.
- Review subcontractor production and validate invoices against completed work.
- Coordinate traffic control, restoration activities, and stakeholder concerns.
- Communicate project progress, risks, and schedule updates to management.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of telecommunications construction experience.
- 3+ years in a Construction Manager, Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of OSP fiber construction practices.
- Experience managing underground telecommunications construction projects.
- Experience supervising subcontractors and field personnel.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, utility prints, and construction documentation.
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Fiber optic installation, testing, splicing, or restoration experience.
- Knowledge of traffic control and permitting requirements.
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience working with municipalities, utilities, or large telecommunications infrastructure projects.
