Astrix is seeking experienced Senior Maintenance Technicians to support manufacturing operations at a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing facility in New Albany, OH. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving manufacturing equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and compliant production operations.
Location: New Albany, OH
Pay: $32.00-$45.00/hour (Depending on Experience)
Type: 1 year contract
Schedule: Day Shift or Night Shift Available
Training Schedule: Approximately 2 months , Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Regular Schedule (After Training) :
Day Shift, 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM, 12-hour shifts, working 3-4 days per week
Night Shift, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, 12-hour shifts, working 3-4 days per week
Responsibilities
Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
Support the installation, startup, testing, and maintenance of manufacturing and support equipment.
Ensure equipment is maintained in accordance with company procedures, cGMP requirements, and applicable regulatory standards.
Maintain equipment and work areas in an inspection-ready state.
Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately following cGMP guidelines.
Utilize CMMS systems (Maximo preferred) to create, update, and close maintenance work orders.
Coordinate contractors for equipment repairs, modifications, and installations.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams on equipment improvements and new system installations.
Identify opportunities to improve maintenance practices, equipment reliability, and documentation.
Participate in all required safety and cGMP training while maintaining assigned qualifications.
Qualifications
Associate degree with 4+ years of maintenance experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 6+ years of maintenance experience.
Minimum 2+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience required.
Experience working in a GMP-regulated manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Strong troubleshooting experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical equipment.
Working knowledge of pumps, valves, motors, lubrication systems, and industrial manufacturing equipment.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and SOPs.
Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as Maximo.
Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams.
Basic computer proficiency.
