Job Description
This role supports the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems in a large, highly automated distribution facility. You will work with high-speed automation and robotic equipment, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor and material handling systems, and ensure safe, reliable operation of all mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components.
Responsibilities
Support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment, including automated conveyor systems and pneumatic systems throughout the building.
Install and replace photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers, and encoders.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems to quickly resolve equipment issues and minimize downtime.
Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, wiring, and PLC-controlled systems in accordance with established schedules.
Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to diagnose faults and execute accurate repairs.
Use PLC troubleshooting techniques to identify control issues and restore proper system function.
Work within a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to receive, complete, and document maintenance work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.
Provide clear feedback on preventive maintenance tasks and suggest improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
Follow material handling equipment safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer guidelines and applicable safety standards.
Use Microsoft Office applications to document work, communicate status, and support reporting requirements.
Meet performance expectations tracked through data and metrics while maintaining quality and safety standards.
Work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and be open to any 10-hour shift as required by the operation.
Essential Skills
4+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment (MHE) or automated conveyor systems and controls.
4+ years of experience reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
4+ years of knowledge and practical application of electrical and electronic principles.
3+ years of experience in troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment systems.
4+ years of experience working with MHE safety standards in accordance with Original Equipment Manufacturer and safety standards.
3+ years of experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
At least 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office products and applications.
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
Experience with automated conveyor systems and related equipment.
Ability to perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, motors, wiring, and PLC-controlled systems.
Proficiency in reading and working from electrical schematics and technical documentation.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and control systems.
Hands-on experience with photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachometers, and encoders.
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-speed automation environment with robotic components.

Work Environment
The role is based in a large distribution facility that operates high-speed automation equipment, including extensive robotic and conveyor systems. The environment is data-driven, with performance tracked through metrics to ensure expectations are met, while allowing you autonomy in how you complete your work. The position is physically active, requiring comfort with walking approximately 10,000 steps per day and the ability to move up to 49 pounds at a time. The operation runs on multiple 10-hour shifts, and all candidates must be open to working any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in order to support continuous operations.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $42.65 - $42.65/hr.
