Cable Technician / Data Center Support Technician
Location: Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Cable Technician / Data Center Support Technician to join our team in Fairless Hills, PA. This position provides technical support to end users while assisting with data center operations, network infrastructure, and low-voltage cabling projects. The ideal candidate will have experience with Cat 5/Cat 6 cabling, basic networking knowledge, strong troubleshooting skills, and a customer-service mindset.
Responsibilities
Provide technical support to end users via phone, email, and in-person requests.
Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
Document, track, and monitor support tickets to ensure timely resolution.
Install, terminate, test, and troubleshoot Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling.
Support network infrastructure, workstation deployments, and equipment installations.
Assist with server rack installations, cable management, and data center operations.
Follow work instructions, diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Maintain accurate records in ticketing, inventory, and asset management systems.
Escalate issues as needed to ensure efficient resolution.
Adhere to all safety standards and company policies.
Required Qualifications
0-3 years of experience in IT support, desktop support, help desk, telecom, low-voltage cabling, or a related field.
Experience with Cat 5 and Cat 6 cabling.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively under supervision and follow established procedures.
Required Certifications
CompTIA A+
CompTIA Network+
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following environments:
Low-voltage cabling
Telecommunications
Data centers
Construction
Physical Requirements
Ability to safely lift and move up to 35 pounds repeatedly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
Ability to push, pull, and maneuver server racks, carts, and equipment safely as part of a team.
Comfortable working in varying temperatures and wearing required PPE.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet operational deadlines.
Education
Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent experience, training, and certifications will be considered.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
