*JOB DESCRIPTION (This is a 6-month W2 contract - FULLY REMOTE - possible extensions)*

The Systems Engineer role serves as a “hands on” subject matter expert for a large, diverse, and complex project in the Hyperscale Data Center industry, performing modeling of data center environments.

You MUST be good at reading blueprints, diagrams, floor plans and rack layouts. An ideal candidate will have 2+ years of Datacenter OR Telecom Fiber infrastructure installation.

*Specific responsibilities include:*

* Performs measurements and calculations necessary to model data center environments in an in-house data center management system
* Obtains data from various systems, performing data transformation as necessary in tools such as Microsoft Excel to import in an in-house data center management system
* Serves as a subject matter expert for their assigned product/project capable of performing demonstrations and explaining features and benefits
* Works directly with end customer representatives to understand their organization at all facets (business model, processes, and users) and translate their requirements for the internal software development team, as necessary

*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*

* MS Office 365 experience, specifically Microsoft Excel
* Demonstrated ability to take initiative, prioritize work, manage time, and respond effectively to a rapidly changing environment

*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*

* Knowledge of the Data Center and/or Telecommunications industry
* Experience performing “take off” measurements from drawings
* Prior experience reviewing technical drawings such as electrical drawings, floor plans and cable tray layout diagrams
* Experience obtaining scaled measurements using BlueBeam Revu, Fox It PDF and/or

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
