Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Job Description
Join our dynamic team and take on the role of Heavy Equipment Operator, where you will perform fine grading for both residential and commercial site development projects. You will operate a variety of equipment including Kubota skid steers, Bobcats, CAT 259 mini excavators, and PC88 excavators. Your role will support grading operations on large residential subdivisions and commercial job sites, assist with underground piping installation, and ensure precise curb and gutter grading. A balanced approach is required, with a 50/50 split between equipment operation and manual labor tasks.
Responsibilities
Perform fine grading for residential and commercial site development projects.
Operate equipment such as Kubota skid steers, Bobcats, CAT 259 mini excavators, and PC88 excavators.
Support grading operations on large residential subdivisions and commercial job sites.
Assist with underground piping installation and site preparation.
Maintain a 50/50 split between equipment operation and manual labor tasks.
Execute curb and gutter grading with precision.
Collaborate with crews to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specifications.
Work on undeveloped land with no existing structures or active home construction.
Essential Skills
3+ years of heavy equipment operating experience.
Expertise in operating heavy equipment such as skid steers, excavators, and related machinery.
Fine grading skills, including curb and gutter work.
Ability to balance equipment operation with hands-on labor and site support.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in civil construction and grading.
Ability to pass a seat test administered on active sites.
Completion of an 8-week training academy for new hires.

Work Environment
Expect to work 55-60 hours a week during the warmer months, with work potentially slowing down to 35-40 hours during the winter months.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
