Build, Maintain, and Protect Critical Security Systems
We are seeking a skilled Locksmith to join our maintenance team and play a vital role in maintaining the integrity, functionality, and security of facility access systems.
This position is responsible for the installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of locks, keys, hardware, and security systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on professional with strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with commercial locking systems and access control hardware.

What You'll Do
Locksmith & Security System Maintenance
Install, maintain, and repair commercial locks, locking mechanisms, door hardware, and security devices
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with locks, keys, cylinders, and associated hardware
Re-key locks and maintain keying systems as operational needs require
Replace lock cylinders, hardware, and security components as needed
Maintain and support master key and sub-master key systems
Fabricate, track, and maintain accountability of facility access keys
Inspect security systems and ensure proper functionality of locking devices and access points
Assist with installation and maintenance projects related to facility security systems
Maintenance & Operations Support
Complete preventive maintenance inspections and corrective maintenance repairs
Accurately document completed work orders and maintenance activities
Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when specialized service is required
Support maintenance team members and assist other skilled trades as needed
Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with operational standards
Participate in facility improvement projects and ongoing maintenance initiatives
What We're Looking For
High school diploma or equivalent required
3-5 years of professional locksmith experience or closely related trade experience
Strong knowledge of commercial lock systems, door hardware, and keying systems
Experience troubleshooting and repairing locks, cylinders, and security hardware
Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and facility plans
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to security protocols
Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Locksmith certification or state-issued trade license
Experience working with electronic security systems or access control systems
Experience in commercial, institutional, industrial, government, or healthcare facilities
Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and work order systems
Safety & Technical Knowledge
Understanding of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures
Ability to follow Safety Data Sheet (SDS) requirements and workplace safety protocols
Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment while performing repairs and installations

Physical Requirements
This role requires lifting, climbing, kneeling, bending, walking, and working with hand and power tools throughout the day. Candidates should be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors and in active maintenance environments.
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, with occasional after-hours or weekend support as operational needs require.
Work Environment: Commercial and institutional facility setting requiring adherence to safety and security procedures.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $32.00 per hour
