We are looking for a Long Haul Sr Construction Manager to join our Wireline Telecommunications Team.
Strong subject matter expert in Fiber blowing and jetting is a must.
Strong Construction execution, scheduling of crews and planning is critical for this role.
Profit and Loss accountability and understanding is needed.
Budget knowledge and management is critical.

Responsibilities
The Long Haul Sr Construction Manager joining our Wireline Telecommunications team is responsible for the safety, quality, financials, production, schedule, vendor management/invoice approval, crew management/timesheet approval, site expectation setting, close out aggregation/dissemination per market project timeline requirements, inventory, and customer satisfaction performance of their assigned projects, which are typically initiative/activity specific to this role.
In addition, you will:
· Provide safety and quality guidance, leadership, and promote a safety first approach
· Plan for and monitor safety, quality, and schedule during the course of construction
· Communicate with the Project Managers to develop and manage safety, quality, financials, production, schedule, inventory, resource, and customer satisfaction objectives as they relate to the construction phase assigned projects.
· Serves as an expert in Fiber Blowing and jetting.
· Understands how to work with fiber optic cables, specifically non-mirco fiber 864 to 1,728 count cables.
· Working on railroad right of ways and railroad certifications are a plus
· Long Haul fiber optic network experience needed.
· Serves as the site-specific expert for assigned projects
· Work with the Project Manager to develop initial project-specific budgeted cost and budgeted revenue estimates in an effort to mitigate cost overruns for the construction portion of assigned projects
· Under the direction of the Project Manager, take lead responsibility for all revenue and cost components of the construction portion of the project
· Work with the Project Manager to develop and maintain the forecasted construction schedule for assigned projects and report on all milestone actualizations/schedule changes
· Create, maintain, and archive SOW/OOM/BOMs for assigned projects
· Review engineering documents to determine constructability and develop SOW/OOM/BOM
· Advise the Project Manager/Customer of any problems with the constructability of designs and provide recommendations for solutions.
· Supervise and support construction teams in the identification and scheduling of various subcontractors and internal crews
· Receive and review sub-contractor quotes, change orders, and invoices
· Work with project support teams in the issuance of sub-contractor Purchase Orders and the payment of sub-contractor invoices
· Provide coordination as needed with utility companies, OEMs, tenants, and federal, state, and local municipal requirements, including construction permit/inspection requirements, notifications, access, punch lists, and close-out.
· Monitor crew work hours understanding planned hour and budget variance
· Participate in pre-construction meetings to clarify the safety, quality, SOW/OOM/BOM, schedule, and closeout requirements for internal and subcontracted crews ensuring an accurate and complete SOW/OOM/BOM is in place and approved prior to the commencement of the work
· Manage and monitor scope creep and initiate change control process as necessary
· Ensure all closeout requirements are being delivered as close to real-time as possible and within the natural cadence of the project
· Other duties as assigned
