Outside Machinist - Shipyard Mechanical Systems
If you have hands‑on mechanical experience and enjoy working on large‑scale ship systems, this is a strong long‑term opportunity with steady work, training, and growth. We're hiring Outside Machinists to support shipboard mechanical repairs, testing, and system upgrades within the Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) program.
What You'll Do
Install, repair, and test mechanical systems on naval vessels
Support major shipyard projects within the Refueling Complex Overhaul (RCOH) program
Read and interpret mechanical drawings for chill water, ventilation, and steam systems
Perform system inspections and testing , including flange/fitting checks and hydrostatic testing
Identify, assess, and repair corrosion on shipboard piping and mechanical components
Replace or repair flow regulators, solenoids, temperature‑regulating valves, and isolation valves
Troubleshoot and repair ventilation systems , including cooling coils, heaters, and duct components
Work closely with senior mechanics and engineers to complete shipboard repairs
Mentor and train coworkers and customers on proper repair and testing procedures

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $28.00/hr.
