Job Title: Electrician

Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and/or residential settings throughout Connecticut. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), Connecticut electrical regulations, and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and control systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, and specifications.
Install and connect electrical panels, breakers, transformers, lighting systems, and electrical devices.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform diagnostic testing to identify and resolve problems.
Pull wire, bend conduit (EMT, PVC, and rigid), and terminate electrical systems.
Test electrical systems and components using appropriate testing equipment.
Ensure all work complies with state and local codes, OSHA standards, and company safety policies.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and service reports.
Collaborate with project managers, contractors, inspectors, and other trades on job sites.
Participate in safety meetings and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Respond to emergency repairs and service calls as required.
Qualifications
Connecticut E-1 (Unlimited Electrical Contractor) or E-2 (Unlimited Electrical Journeyperson) license preferred.
Apprentices working toward licensure may also be considered.
Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and electrical safety procedures.
Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints.
Experience with commercial, industrial, or residential electrical systems.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Skills and Abilities
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.
Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, scaffolding, and elevated platforms.
Ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions.
Ability to perform repetitive movements associated with electrical installation and maintenance.
Work Environment
Indoor and outdoor construction and service environments.
Exposure to electrical currents, construction equipment, noise, and varying weather conditions.
Overtime, weekend work, and occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stamford, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $35.00/hr.
