Aircraft Mechanic II serves as a Quality Control Technical inspector and performs Quality Control functions for the Modification Work Order (MWO) team.
Responsibilities
Performs inspection of MWO installations and MWO kit builds, ensuring that work is completed according to service guidance and local procedures.
Maintains historical records and approves MWO installation work for assigned MWOs. Will coordinate for government QAR acceptance of MWO installations.
Completes and approves local MWO installation packets.
Enters MWO compliance records in both ACN and MCDS.
Will request MECs through government LARs for maintenance that exceeds normal MWO allowances/directives.
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must possess or be able to obtain a secret clearance.
A minimum of 10 years in rotary wing aviation maintenance with an emphasis on electrical/avionic experience.
Experienced with aircraft and component historical records.
Experienced in ACN or equivalent electronic aircraft records systems.
Must be able to climb in/on/around aircraft to inspect MWO installation work.
