Certified Marine Mechanic-Site Lead (PRPD-2026-25591):
Bowhead seeks a Certified Marine Mechanic-Site Leadfor the HIDTA/FURA contract. The Certified Marine Mechanic-Site Lead must have a solid background in project and team management, with expertise in various aspects ofgeneral maintenance and repair of hull, mechanical, and Electrical systems installed on law enforcement vessels. This contract supports the maintenance and repair of all Government vessels assigned to the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA),Joint Forces of Rapid Action Fuerzas Unidas de Rapida Acción (FURA), with offices in San Juan and Ponce.
Responsibilities
Job duties will include, but are not limited to:
Serves as the COR's point of contact on a day-to-day basis, to resolve possible problems and issues.
Directly responsible for the supervision of all Contractor maintenance personnel relative to his/her site, with the exception of the Quality Assurance Monitor.
Ensures the safe and expeditious repair of FURA vessels in accordance with the provisions of the SOW.
Responsible for establishing and modifying the work schedule of contractor maintenance personnel to meet requirements of both preventive and corrective maintenance as established by the SOW and operational requirements.
Keeps the Quality Assurance Monitor apprised of work status.
Monitors all required reports and forms as set forth in the SOW and assures prompt input into both real-time reporting and monthly reporting systems.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred but a High School diploma or equivalent is required at a minimum.
Experience and an excellent working knowledge of all phases of marine maintenance and related equipment for the wide variety of utility, interceptor, and platform vessels in the FURA fleet.
Five plus (5+) years of relevant professional experience leading a team of marine vessel maintenance professionals.
Experience with administrative oversight of contractual matters and serving as a liaison between the Customer Representative and corporate management is preferred.
Experience managing services simultaneously while supporting many projects.
Experience and an excellent working knowledge of all phases of marine maintenance and related equipment for the wide variety of utility, interceptor, and platform vessels in the FURA fleet.
Experience working full-time as a marine maintenance supervisor and shall have been employed in the marine industry continuously for the preceding 12 months.
Experience ensuring that all activities conform to the terms and conditions of the contract.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS: There are currently no Security Clearance requirements for this position; however, candidates must be able to successfully pass a background check. Due to the location of this work, US Citizenship is required. Bowhead reserves the right to change this requirement if necessitated by business needs or contractual obligations.
