HVAC Maintenance Lead
Location: Rockford, IL
Are you a skilled HVAC technician ready to lead maintenance operations in a high-impact environment? We're seeking an experienced Maintenance Lead - HVAC Technician to join our team and ensure the reliability and performance of all HVAC and related systems at our state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration repairs on HVAC equipment with minimal supervision.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and other types of control systems.
Maintain boilers, heating systems, and associated equipment.
Install new equipment and relocate existing assets as needed.
Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance to identify required repairs, minimizing interruptions to production.
Complete and maintain accurate maintenance work requests and records.
Ensure work areas remain clean and clear of hazardous conditions.
Qualifications & Experience:
3 to 7 years of experience in HVAC maintenance or a related field.
Competence with electrical systems, including 3-phase and 480-volt equipment.
Ability to read and apply electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration drawings, schematics, and manuals.
Skilled in diagnosing and repairing air handler chiller units and air conditioning systems.
Proficiency using basic electrical test instruments.
Demonstrated skill with all types of refrigeration testing and service equipment.
Experience with all hand tools, plus proficiency in brazing and soldering.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to safely work at heights, adhering to all required safety protocols and equipment.
Willingness to attend company-sponsored training and work overtime as needed.
