Job Title: Marine Electrician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Marine Electrician to perform a variety of maintenance and technical support tasks related to shipboard systems, integrated systems, and associated equipment. The role requires troubleshooting and repairing York R-134A Reefer Compressors and 363-ton Centrifugal Air Conditioning Compressors, as well as managing multiple jobs and preparing technical reports.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair York R-134A Reefer Compressors and 363-ton Centrifugal Air Conditioning Compressors.
Perform mechanical repairs, testing, and maintenance of AC&R systems and air compressors.
Interface with customers, manage subcontractors, and provide work direction to others.
Manage multiple jobs, schedule work, and prepare technical reports and controlled work packages.
Perform quality inspections and complete installation or work assignments outside specialty areas when needed.
Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify equipment.
Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions to eliminate problems in minimum time.
Apply comprehensive understanding of production and processes toward completion of assignments.
Develop and use technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports, and task or trip reports.
Essential Skills
Experience with marine ship repair, valves, electrical systems, hydraulics, and diesel engines.
High School diploma or equivalent, and 2 years of related experience.
Experience installing, maintaining, and repairing structural and mechanical systems and associated equipment.
Proficiency in using various power tools and measurement devices.
Ability to read, interpret, and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
Knowledge of safety and quality control steps and procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
A division or E division from the navy is preferred.
Experience managing subcontractors and providing work direction.
Experience developing and using technical documents and reports.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00/hr.
