Traveling Data Center Technician (100% Travel - Iowa Projects)
We are currently hiring entry-level and experienced technicians who are interested in breaking into the fast-growing data center and low-voltage trade. This is a 100% travel role based in Iowa, supporting major data center construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
Install cabling in floor, wall, and modular furniture environments
Pull and route cable using fish tape and other methods
Perform pre-termination tasks:
Organizing and dressing cables
Measuring slack and labeling accurately
Install and support cable systems using:
Cable tray, J-hooks, D-rings, bridal rings, trapeze
Build telecom closets:
Install racks, patch panels, backboards, and fiber hardware
Perform grounding for racks, equipment, and cable
Complete fire-stopping procedures and sleeve installations
Terminate low-voltage devices and connections
Required Skills
Cable installation / structured cabling (training provided for entry-level)
Punchdown and termination (or willingness to learn)
Basic understanding of telecom or construction environments
Strong work ethic and reliability
Qualifications
Must be willing to travel 100% to Iowa for project duration
Comfortable working in construction environments (indoor & outdoor)
Ability to work at heights, on ladders, and in tight spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move up to 75 lbs
Willingness to learn how to read blueprints and project documents
Ability to distinguish colors, read fine print, and recognize signals
Positive attitude, professionalism, and team-first mindset

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
