About the Role
Broadstaff is hiring
Fulfillment Technicians to support residential telecom installations and service work across Northern Michigan. This role focuses on delivering high-quality customer installations and service solutions for internet, voice, and data services across fiber and coax networks.
Technicians are assigned daily routes and work independently in the field, ensuring customer services are installed, tested, and fully operational. This is a
structured, schedule-driven role (no on-call work) with strong training provided.
What Youâll Do
- Install, configure, and activate residential telecom services (internet, voice, data)
- Complete new installations, reconnects, and scheduled service calls
- Perform testing, troubleshooting, and signal verification
- Set up and configure customer-premise equipment (routers, modems, etc.)
- Interpret work orders and technical instructions to complete jobs accurately
- Deliver strong customer service and explain services to end users
- Document completed work, materials, and test results
- Follow all safety procedures and field protocols
What Weâre Looking For
Weâre prioritizing
reliable, coachable individuals with strong work ethic and communication skills. Direct telecom experience is helpfulâbut not required.
Required:
- Valid driverâs license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in physically active environments
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Dependability and punctuality
Preferred (but not required):
- Background in telecom, construction, field service, or a hands-on technical role
- Experience with fiber, coax, or networking equipment
- Familiarity with routers, switches, or IP-based systems
Training & Support
- 2â3 weeks of paid, structured field training
- Ride-alongs and hands-on onboarding before independent work
- Ongoing support from dispatch and operations teams
Work Environment & Territory
- Field-based position covering the Greater Traverse City region
- Company vehicle provided (take-home vehicle)
- Occasional visits to the South Boardman yard for meetings or equipment
- Family-oriented team environment with clear expectations and minimal micromanagement
