Primary Purpose:
Responsible for the coordination and confirmation that accurate and complete audits are conducted on construction projects to meet [Exelon or] OpCo standards in order to ensure construction designs are followed. Develop and implement processes to ensure appropriate criteria are utilized when auditing, validate consistency in performing audits, and deliver feedback and coaching in both behavioral and technical skills to Staff Augmentation (Auditors). Identify trends, make recommendations and drive improvement initiatives. Position may be required to work extended hours for coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.
Primary Duties:
- Support day-to-day operations of the Construction Quality team by assisting with documentation, tracking audit/inspection completion, and maintaining records. (20%)
- Assist with planning, scheduling, and reviewing audits and inspections on construction projects in accordance with established procedures, while also participating in work planning calls to capture planned jobs to audit. (20%)
- Assist senior staff with gathering data, monitoring adherence to established quality standards, and supporting initiatives that contribute to customer reliability and satisfaction goals. (10%)
- Support the review of audit/inspection results for completeness and consistency and escalate findings as appropriate. This includes reviewing and updating checklists as needed. (10%)
- Assist coordinate activities with internal stakeholders and contractors related to quality issues, under guidance from senior leadership. (10%)
- Identify recurring issues or trends and communicate findings to senior staff to support continuous improvement, training, and qualification initiatives. (10%)
- Support onboarding, offboarding, and contract expiration tracking with auditor/inspection staff. (10%)
- Support open communication within the team by sharing information, participating in discussions, and providing feedback when requested. (10%)
Job Scope:
- Contribute to the development of quality assurance programs and their implementation.
- Onboard and offboard Staff Aug and/or Employee Auditors.
- Assist in assigning projects and review performance of Staff Aug and/or Auditors.
- Support day-to-day operations of the Construction Quality team by assisting with documentation, tracking audit/inspection completion, and maintaining records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or business management and 2 - 5 years relevant experience OR 6-9 years of relevant experience
- Excellent oral and written skills.
- Proven ability to resolve issues independently.
- Demonstrated analytical skills.
- Ability to develop performance indicators and appropriate analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to establish trust, communicate effectively, and foster culture change.
- Computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft office.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in Civil or Electrical construction.
- 2 years of experience in auditing programs, particularly Quality Assurance (QA) programs (give example of programs)
- ISO 9000, ANSI N45.2.23, or comparable certifications.
- 2 - 5 years' experience in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control fields
