Job Description
Perform installation, decommissioning, and maintenance of network and low‑voltage cabling infrastructure within Data Center environments. Deliver repeatable, high‑quality solutions while adhering to safety, production, and quality standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to remove project obstacles and provide structured updates on project progress. Maintain Data Center cleanliness and exhibit consistent, quality workmanship. Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and design documentation, including redline updates. Support installation, connection, and decommissioning of network equipment across MDF and IDF spaces with a broad understanding of Data Center infrastructure technologies.
Core Responsibilities
Install, rack, and stack network equipment in live Data Center environments
Install, dress, label, and terminate copper (Cat5/Cat6) and fiber cabling
Perform installation of ladder rack and seismic bracing (overhead and raised floor)
Conduct service swaps and work with live and decommissioned cabling
Dress and furcate fiber trunks for splicing
Perform fusion splicing (Ribbon, Single Fiber, OSP/ISP)
Differentiate live cables from decommissioned infrastructure
Execute copper and fiber testing and troubleshooting
Operate DSX‑5000 and OTDR testers; program testers as required
Download, verify, save, and submit test results using LinkWare / LinkWare Live
Create and apply mass labels per port maps
Maintain accurate documentation and orderly paperwork
Understand and operate FIM databases and scanners
Follow safety protocols and job site requirements at all times

Proficient with basic telecom hand tools
Strong understanding of customer service and professional conduct
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and design documents
Familiar with wiring schemes and testing methodologies
Capable of pulling all types of low‑voltage cable
Skilled in field terminations, labeling, and cable dressing
Able to run service jobs and maintain required documentation
Comfortable working in active Data Center environments
Reports to Operations Manager; takes daily direction from senior technical staff

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
