Customer Support Representative - Mechanical Locks Product Line
This role supports Kwikset's mechanical lock portfolio, including standard residential locks, deadbolts, and commercial mechanical locking systems.
Position Overview
The Customer Support Representative serves as a frontline resource for consumers, delivering technical support, product guidance, and installation assistance related to Kwikset mechanical locks. This role requires strong customer service skills, a technical mindset, and the ability to handle high‑volume interactions with professionalism and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Handle high-volume inbound calls and emails regarding product issues, installation guidance, troubleshooting, and general product information
Provide clear, knowledgeable support while assessing customer needs and directing them to appropriate resources when required
Document all customer interactions accurately by entering detailed information into internal systems in real time
Evaluate reported product issues to determine repair eligibility versus replacement or scrap, following Consumer Service procedures
Assist customers with installation techniques, product features, and model comparisons as directed by the Consumer Service Supervisor
Respond to consumer repair requests in accordance with established service guidelines
Maintain a professional, calm, and service-oriented approach when managing challenging customer situations
Meet productivity, quality, and compliance standards in a fast-paced call center environment

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience in product-based customer support or call center environment (preferred, not required)
Previous experience in hardware, mechanical products, or home improvement industry preferred
Technical aptitude with a strong willingness to learn; role involves significant self‑guided learning
Typing speed of 35+ WPM
High School Diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Bilingual in Spanish or French a plus
Proven problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult customer interactions
Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort learning product mechanics

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
