Millwright - Industrial Maintenance | Multiple Openings | Jackson, MI Area
We're partnering with multiple industrial employers in the Jackson area seeking experienced Millwrights to support mechanical maintenance, equipment installation, and reliability efforts within manufacturing environments. These are hands‑on, skill‑driven roles -ideal for Millwrights who enjoy mechanical troubleshooting, welding, fabrication, and keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently.
What These Roles Typically Involve
Perform mechanical maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment
Complete welding, fabrication, and rigging as required
Install, align, and maintain machinery and production equipment
Troubleshoot and service conveyor systems, furnaces, motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics
Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime
Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and schematics
Assist with equipment modifications, upgrades, and installations
Skills & Experience Employers Are Seeking
Experience in a Millwright or mechanical maintenance role
Strong experience working with conveyor systems
Ability to weld (MIG and/or Stick) and perform basic fabrication
Mechanical troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment
Ability to read and understand prints and schematics
Working knowledge of electrical systems (support or troubleshooting level)
Comfortable performing physical, hands‑on work in a plant setting
Preferred (Varies by Opening)
2+ years of experience as a Millwright, Maintenance Technician, or Mechanical Installer
Rigging and equipment installation experience
Preventive maintenance program experience
Ownership of basic hand tools
