Job Overview
A rapidly growing fiber broadband provider is seeking a detail-oriented OSP (Outside Plant) Field Inspector to support the inspection and quality assurance of fiber optic construction projects. This role is 100% field-based and plays a critical role in ensuring fiber infrastructure meets company standards, engineering specifications, and safety regulations.
The ideal candidate has a strong interest in telecommunications construction, enjoys working in the field, and is comfortable collaborating with contractors, engineers, and internal leadership.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and assess the condition of outside plant fiber optic facilities
Conduct site visits and audits to verify construction quality and adherence to plans and specifications
Document findings and prepare detailed inspection and compliance reports
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to address discrepancies and corrective actions
Work closely with general contractors to set expectations, provide guidance, and ensure quality standards are met
Communicate regularly with management regarding issues impacting project timelines or quality
Support customer escalations related to construction activities, including damage claim investigations and repairs
Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams, vendors, and local agencies
Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
Knowledge of telecommunications or fiber optic infrastructure
Familiarity with OSP construction, underground cable, or fiber optic cable installation
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
Strong inspection, documentation, and reporting skills
Comfortable working independently in the field
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong work ethic and flexibility to work varied schedules
Preferred Skills
Experience with fiber optic construction or inspection
Exposure to telecom construction environments
Understanding of safety and quality compliance standards
Work Environment
100% field-based role
Travel within the greater Naples, FL area
Work performed outdoors and at active construction sites

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
