Job Title: Field Installation Coordinator / Pre‑Installation Wiring Lead (Cleanroom Environment)
Job Description
The Field Installation Coordinator / Pre‑Installation Wiring Lead plays a key role on the Site Project Management Team, coordinating the installation of complex electro‑mechanical equipment at customer facilities. You will lead and perform hands‑on pre‑installation wiring and mechanical/electrical tasks in a cleanroom environment, while coordinating schedules, materials, and personnel to ensure high‑quality, on‑time installations. This highly structured and repetitive role is ideal for someone who enjoys steady, consistent work, takes pride in accuracy and reliability, and is interested in growing into robotics, field service, or other technical roles after demonstrating strong performance.
Responsibilities
Perform daily wiring tasks in a cleanroom environment, including pre‑wiring components and installing and organizing junction boxes.
Prepare systems and equipment for downstream robotics installation performed by a separate team, ensuring all pre‑installation work meets quality and specification requirements.
Lead and coordinate a small team of approximately 4-5 technicians, communicating daily plans and instructions from the Site Manager.
Ensure team alignment, workflow clarity, and timely completion of assigned tasks while performing the same hands‑on work as the team.
Begin with defined, manageable task segments and progressively take on broader responsibilities as proficiency increases.
Maintain a consistent, steady pace of work in a role that is intentionally routine and structured, requiring patience, focus, and attention to detail.
Monitor scheduling, procedures, and performance of installation work at the customer's facility and recommend improvements or modifications as needed.
Oversee the implementation and training of approved control systems and procedures related to equipment installation and operation.
Work closely with the Installation Site Manager and Site Management Team to analyze errors and contribute to the development of short‑ and long‑term corrective solutions.
Assist the Site Manager in coordinating and monitoring task execution and progress across installation activities.
Assist in developing installation, qualification, and repair procedures for company equipment and prepare procedures based on individual skills and experience when requested.
Coordinate installation personnel to ensure work quality meets established standards and ensure appropriate training is provided.
Administer day‑to‑day installation operations at the customer's facility, helping to keep activities organized and on schedule.
Receive and oversee the installation of parts for company equipment at the customer site, ensuring correct placement and integration.
Enter, manipulate, and retrieve installation and equipment data using various computer programs, and create and submit reports to the Installation Site Manager.
Monitor, guide, and train contractor resources and vendors to support efficient operation and protect company interests.
Monitor scheduling, procedures, and performance of installed company equipment at the customer's facility and recommend improvements and modifications when necessary.
Work with installation subcontractors to compile and complete project punch lists to formally close out projects.
Supervise and coordinate material movement, and oversee electrical and mechanical contractors and QA/QC work based on project needs.
Attend daily in‑field whiteboard meetings to review priorities, progress, and safety or quality topics.
Apply basic algebra and geometry, as well as calculations involving discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, to support planning, layout, and installation tasks.
Maintain strict compliance with all cleanroom protocols, including correctly wearing and working in a cleanroom suit for extended periods.
Support a culture of safety, integrity, and continuous improvement throughout all installation activities.
Essential Skills
At least 2 years of experience coordinating equipment installations within a manufacturing environment.
At least 2 years of hands‑on mechanical experience troubleshooting and/or installing equipment.
Proven natural leadership skills, demonstrated through prior roles such as leading projects, military experience, or team leadership responsibilities.
Hands‑on experience with mechanical equipment installation and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and work from blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Experience with electro‑mechanical equipment and pre‑wiring tasks, including work with junction boxes.
Familiarity with equipment installs and troubleshooting in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Strong project coordination skills, including planning, scheduling, logistics, and coordination of multiple tasks and stakeholders.

Proficiency with basic computer applications, including spreadsheets (such as Excel) for data entry, tracking, and reporting.
Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume, and to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to structured processes and procedures.
Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a highly routine, repetitive, and structured work environment.
Effective verbal communication skills for conveying daily plans, instructions, and feedback to a small team.
Ability to work on‑site full‑time in a cleanroom environment and wear a cleanroom suit for extended periods.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in semiconductor or similar high‑tech manufacturing environments.
Experience in logistics, budgeting, planning, schedule planning, and coordination for technical projects.
Experience coordinating QA/QC activities and supporting punch‑list completion at the end of projects.
Familiarity with data submission and reporting processes to site or project management teams.
Comfort working with cranes, conveyors, and other material‑handling equipment in an industrial setting.
Ability to guide and train contractors and vendor personnel to align with company standards and procedures.
