As fiber deployment accelerates across both urban and rural markets, we are seeking a
Senior OSP Construction Manager to lead high-impact FTTH projects in the Seattle, Washington area. This is a boots-on-the-ground leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced field environments and understands the complexity of HDD-driven fiber construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of large-scale FTTH construction projects, with a focus on HDD (Directional Drilling)
- Oversee subcontractors, internal crews, and field equipment from pre-construction through project closeout
- Ensure job site safety, compliance, and a strong team culture across all field operations
- Interpret and execute from construction drawings, GIS systems, and bore profiles
- Coordinate with municipalities, permitting agencies, utilities, and internal engineering teams
- Track daily production, monitor progress, and proactively adjust schedules to meet deadlines
- Maintain project documentation including as-builts, redlines, street sheets, and daily reports
- Troubleshoot field challenges and make real-time decisions to prevent delays or rework
- Lead QA/QC inspections, punch walks, and final project closeouts
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety standards
Experience & Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in OSP / telecom construction
- 1+ year managing high-count fiber and innerduct projects
- Proven experience leading HDD-based fiber deployments
- OSHA Certification (OSHA 30 preferred or ability to obtain)
- Strong understanding of ROW, easements, and utility locate processes (811)
- Valid driver’s license (CDL or heavy equipment operation experience is a plus)
Key Skills: Hands-on expertise with
HDD operations, bore planning, and locator coordination. Strong knowledge of
fiber installation methods (conduit, cable pulling, blowing, reel management). Ability to read and interpret
GIS mapping, construction prints, and bore logs. Solid understanding of
OSP construction standards and best practices . Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination abilities. Ability to manage multiple crews and priorities in a dynamic field environment. Proficiency with project tracking tools and reporting (Excel and field reporting systems).
What Will Catch Our Eye: Deep, hands-on experience managing
FTTH builds with heavy HDD scope. Proven ability to lead crews in both
urban and rural deployment environments. Strong track record of delivering projects
on time, on budget, and with high quality. Experience managing subcontractors and navigating complex field challenges. A leadership style that prioritizes
