Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Fiber Technician our of Eastern/ Southeastern Ohio who will be responsible for installation, troubleshooting, termination, splicing, and testing of fiber optic cabling to ensure reliable, high‑quality service delivery. This role utilizes specialized fiber tools and testing equipment to diagnose and resolve network issues in the field. The technician maintains consistent daily communication with dispatch regarding service issues, work assignments, splicing documentation, and field updates, and works closely with Network/Maintenance Technicians and the Construction team to ensure alignment across operations. In addition, the Fiber Technician II partners with the Supervisor of Fiber Splicing to assist with scheduling splicing projects, monitoring adherence to project timelines, and coordinating fiber maintenance activities with the Network Operations Center (NOC) and, when necessary, end users. The salary for this role is $60,000-$82,000 depending on experience.

Skills and Requirements
1+ years of fiber splicing experience (2+ years preferred)
Experience with high fiber count splicing
Experience splicing ribbon and loose tube fiber
Final testing experience (TBR)
Ability to work independently and ramp quickly with minimal training
Located in or within an hour of Eastern/Southeastern Ohio - Work aloft up to 50' in a bucket truck, ladder, or climb utility poles
Ability to drive a truck with a trailer
Able and willing to work outdoors and in inclement weather
Ability to lift and carry 75 pounds
Valid driver's license
