Act as the primary on-site leader for low-voltage construction projects, ensuring clear communication with the Project Manager, clients, GC/EC partners, and internal teams
Oversee daily field operations, managing crews of 10+ technicians and installers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to project plans
Lead, manage, mentor, and train Lead Technicians, Technicians, and Installers to maximize performance, quality, and job site safety
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and project documentation to ensure accurate installation of structured cabling systems, devices, and conduit infrastructure
Design, plan, layout, run, and bend conduit (EMT, rigid, and other applicable types) to support low-voltage systems
Oversee all conduit routing and installation, ensuring pathways are clean, efficient, properly supported, and code-compliant
Ensure conduit work aligns with structured cabling best practices - this role requires hands-on leadership and technical expertise, not delegation alone
Execute projects using LEAN Construction principles while maintaining productivity, quality control, and schedule adherence
Identify and resolve job site issues, risks, and obstacles; communicate impacts to timelines, staffing, and scope to the Project Manager
Coordinate with GC, EC, and end users to plan and sequence work according to project schedules
Maintain and approve daily logs, timecards, task trackers, Pre-Task Plans, and Daily Reports
Forecast manpower, materials, tools, and equipment needs up to four weeks in advance
Ensure accurate As-Built documentation and communicate scope changes through RFIs and email
Reinforce company safety policies, OSHA standards, and professional conduct on all job sites
Assist Operations with performance documentation and employee write-ups when required
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards
Minimum 4+ years of low-voltage installation experience in commercial construction
Proven, hands-on experience with conduit design, layout, running, and bending is REQUIRED
Must be able to independently plan conduit routes that support structured cabling and low-voltage systems
Candidates must be comfortable with low-voltage electrical infrastructure, pathways, and code awareness
Must meet Lead Technician requirements and pass an internal Foreman assessment
Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
Ability to manage crews, schedules, manpower, and job site logistics
Proficiency with computers, smartphones, tablets, Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), and SmartSheet
Knowledge of industry-standard cable codes, color codes, termination practices, and conduit standards
Installer certifications from manufacturers such as Leviton, Berk-Tek, SYSTIMAX, Ortronics, Panduit, or similar preferred
Low-voltage electrical license or telecommunications certifications (BICSI, InfoComm, NSCA, SCTE, etc.) preferred
OSHA 30 certification required
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical job site tasks including climbing, kneeling, crawling, and standing for extended periods
