Estiamtor - Commercial Construction
Salary: $100,000 - 125,000/yearWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial construction projects, with a focus on ground-up builds and tenant fit-outs (TI). The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment. #LAT
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial construction projects
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
- Develop budgets for ground-up and tenant improvement (TI) projects
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids
- Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors and vendors
- Identify potential cost risks and value engineering opportunities
- Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and clients during preconstruction
- Assist in bid preparation, proposal development, and scope clarification
- Maintain organized records of estimates, bids, and historical cost data
- Participate in project handoff meetings to operations teams
Requirements
- 3–7+ years of estimating experience with a commercial general contractor
- Proven experience with ground-up and tenant fit-out projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and building systems
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Strong numerical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
